God Won't Fail You
“Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid of them! The LORD your God will go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor forsake you.”
-- Deuteronomy 31:6
The other day I watched a video of Mark Hall, lead singer of Casting Crowns, giving his testimony. It wasn’t about the time he came to know Christ. It had more to do with the day he came to believe God’s promises over his life.
Hall had married, moved to Florida and entered school to study music. Except he couldn’t read music and only played four chords of the piano. It was the first day and he was surrounded by people who knew so much more. Hall was ready to pack up and head home. Until God intervened. Hall stayed and, well, you know the rest of the story.
That’s the problem with trying something different, with reaching for a dream, with stepping off the deep end. We get scared and forget that we aren’t there alone. If we’re doing what God has called us to do, we don’t have to be smart or talented or anything else besides obedient. He is enough and He can do all things. Amazing things.
Don’t let Satan plant seeds of doubt in your heart. Hold fast to your Savior. Believe God. Courageously move forward. He’s right there with you. He won’t fail you and He won’t forsake you. Trust Him. You’ll be amazed at what you can do with God’s power leading the way.

Freida, you are so right! I was a bit overwhelmed this past semester and at times wanted to give up. When I remembered why I was going to school and asked for God's help, it made all of the difference.
He is an AWESOME God! I find that the only time I really falter is when I try to do things by myself.
