Light in a Dark World

I wanted to create a piece that illustrated how dark our world is without Jesus. We all know we live in a fallen world. It is dark and scary and seemingly without hope. Then Jesus came and shed his blood for us. In doing so, He brought us light and hope.

This piece is painted on wood. I used spackling compound to create texture for the cross. The cross is painted white because it was with His death that Jesus brought light to a dark world.

I really can't imagine a day without His help and strength and without the hope that He gives me. gives me strength for today and for all the tomorrows I am granted. And one day I'll go home and He'll be waiting there to welcome me.

Jesus suffered and died for everyone. That's a love beyond anything I can imagine. I am so grateful for His light in this fallen world.
