Keep Believing
And my God will meet all your needs
according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:19
She struggles physically and emotionally. It’s hard to
find hope in a cycle that seems to never end.
She is haunted by past mistakes that have led her to
this place. She has changed. The alcohol is gone. But her children remember.
Adulthood hasn’t lessoned their trauma. One seems destined to repeat her mother’s
story. The other tries, and fails, to hide his anger.
Have you been there? Maybe not the same circumstances
but the same hopelessness? We find our hope in God but sometimes it’s just
hard. It’s hard to keep believing. It’s hard to know He sees. It’s hard to see how
anything can ever be different.
And then one day it is. One day the pain is a little
less. One day laughter erupts again. One day you look around and are amazed at
the miracles God performed while you were so caught up in your pain that you
failed to see.
Don’t give up. Don’t give in. God loves you and has
great things planned for you. Keep holding on. Keep praying. God knows what you
need and in the right time He will provide.
