So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today's trouble is enough for today. Matthew 6:34
It amazes me that the one thing I can do exceptionally well is something the Bible says we're not supposed to do. You got it. I worry. A lot. I can worry about anything. I once thought about opening up a business. I figured people could pay me to do their worrying for them, so they could get on with their lives. It had tons of potential. Of course, I never did it. I worried that everyone would think I'd lost my mind. Or that people prefer to do their own worrying. Or...you get the point.
I don't know why I worry. It doesn't change a thing. And that is exactly what Jesus tells us in the Bible. Worrying doesn't pay bills, heal the sick or mend broken fences. It just saps time and emotional energy from an already stressful situation. It hinders the solution, so to speak.
I'm really working on not worrying so much. And it's driving the people around me nuts. I'm simply trying to stay focused on what God has called me to do. I figure He'll take care of the details. When He's in charge, what do I have to worry about? Nothing. Absolutely, nothing.
